Today, 8 inches of ice with approximately 6-7 inches of snow on top, after 15 minutes on this hole I was in a circle of slush. Now, this area is very sheltered and the wind didn’t blow off the lake like it did in many areas. The concerning part for me was, even with temperatures well below freezing, below zero even, this spot only gained 2 ...Had we not made a depth and location adjustment, we might have only had 2 or 3 Walleyes. Those two adjustments made all the different though and we were headed to the launch by 1:00.
